About Heyford and Bicester Veterans
Heyford & Bicester Veterans are a local support group for forces Veterans, reservists and their families living in and around the local area. The group was set up by a local veteran.
The group meets in Upper Heyford community centre, on the First Friday of each month. At the meeting it’s a chance for local veterans can meet, come along to one of the meetings have a chat a brew and a catch up with friends. While at the meeting it’s a chance for Veterans to get help filling out forms and applications get advice and confidential support from relevant service charities and organisations.

Rethink Mental Illness help millions of people affected by mental illness by challenging attitudes, changing lives.
Combat Stress are the UK’s leading charity for veterans’ mental health. Helping former servicemen and women deal with trauma-related mental health problems such as anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Help for Heroes
Help for Heroes supports those with injuries and illnesses attributable to their service in the British Armed Forces. No matter when someone served, believe that those prepared to put their lives second, deserve a second chance at life.
seAp Advisory Support
seAp is an independent charity that specialises in the provision of advocacy and related services. Our high quality independent advocacy services support people, especially those who are most vulnerable in society, to have their voice heard, access their rights and have more control over their lives.
The Ministry of Defence’s Veterans UK helpline provides assistance on many issues including benefits, housing and welfare.
We help members of the Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Air Force, veterans and their families all year round. We also campaign to improve their lives, organise the Poppy Appeal and remember the fallen.
